It's summertime in Northern Michigan, my favorite time of year. Summer offers the promise of hot sunny days, of crisp cool nights, and a delightful breeze blowing in off the lake.
I'm from a small town where neighbors know each other. Where summer twilight lasts long into the evening hours. Where front porches are common, and a place for friends and neighbors to gather on warm summer evenings. To sit and chat, and share in a story or two.
Perhaps like me, summer is your favorite season. Maybe it's the spectacular color show Mother Nature puts on when the autumn leaves turn; or the icy winter landscapes that snatch your breath away. Or springtime, as the world wakes up from a long winter's nap and falls in love all over again.
No matter what the season, it's a never ending story.
And who among us doesn't love a good story?
